    Trinity Beach Suburb Profile
    Trinity Beach is a central member of the ‘Northern Beaches’ of Cairns adjoining to Trinity Park, Smithfield and Kewarra Beach, and is located approximately a 20-minute drive north from the Cairns CBD. Trinity Beach is named after nearby Trinity Bay, which was named by Captain James Cook on Trinity Sunday in 1770. The postcode for Trinity Park is 4879.

    Historically used mainly for farming and sugar cane growing, Trinity Beach now predominantly consists of residential housing and a large mix of tourist accommodation and restaurants yet holds a more “down-to-earth” and casual atmosphere than other nearby tourist-orientated beaches such as Palm Cove.

    The closest major shopping centre to Trinity Beach, Smithfield Shopping Centre, is a 5-minute drive south and includes a Coles & Woolworths, Kmart, Dan Murphy’s, many specialty and take away shops, and restaurants in the complex which is well serviced with car parking and bus services. James Cook University is also less than a 5-minute drive from Trinity Beach.
