Aeroglen is a centrally located suburb within the Cairns Region situated between both Stratford and Cairns North. Aeroglen is located on a slope at the foot of the Mount Whitfield Conservation Park. Most of the suburb is taken up by the Cairns International Airport and the name Aeroglen is a reference to the airport. The postcode of Aeroglen is 4870.

Being the home ground for the Cairns Pirates Touch Football Association, Aeroglen is best known for the large district level sports fields located along the main access road Stratford Connection Road. The touch fields are also home to the Aeroglen Community Hall as well as access to the Lumley hill hiking tracks, including popular Blue & Red Arrow Walks, within the Mount Whitfield Regional Park.
